David Cardoso Suãrez
Born in Cuba 1976
Graduated as Art Teacher in 1995, in drawing, painting, sculpture, and graphic design. He is full of life and love and his energy is bursting at the seams, contained only by the release of artistic talent that flows into his pieces. He has become popular throughout Cuba, and his work is quickly expanding to encompass fans around the world. Canada, Europe, Brazil, and Spain have welcomed his style and invited him to grace the walls of their homes, hospitality industries, and famous hotels.
David displays a talent that continues to mature. A young artist whose pieces are vibrant and rich, his paintings captivate audiences and each one has a story to tell. The depth of his love for the arts is powerful, stimulating, and subjective.
"The themes and designs of my works are a seal of the sensuality of the Cuban tropics, displayed with poetry and originality. My future projects will continue to be fresh visions that I will show in new designs."
In many of his pieces, there are Cuban floras woven and inlaid into the pictures. He is, "The artist who paints with leaves", and many of the native plants, and trees have been captured in the moment of time. Individual leaves swirl around as if in a fairy tail, fortifying and showcasing Cuban scenes. This style and unique technique has earned him international recognition.
David continues to produce powerful pieces that will become impressive collections. According to official statistics David was the most commercialized artist in Cuba in 2005.
He is very active in church, leading the youth programs and mentoring. His work is often on display filling the walls of the church before being released. The latest series, “Senor de Los Cielos”, “Senor of the Skies”, is a magnificent depiction of God, his followers, and the cellular function of the church. This set of 5 pieces have been added to our collection and can be viewed in the compilation of his works. David is a natural poet, contemplating the depth of life and love, portraying his questions about the meaning of the world in his artistic expressions.

Interview with David - "The reason of love is what inspires me"
“I project my work like a balm full of passion, and strong emotions
wishing the eternal (everlasting) instead of the simple (the useless)
and the deep thoughts instead of the superficial. I am inspired by the
urgency, the art of mine has to be urgent."
"I am in front of the sheet to paint and I think not about an art
work but about a message that impacts in a positive manner, able to transform the
common moments of a single person in something very important and a very special
time. My message does not finish on a painted sheet but ultimately with timeless results, showing in the actions of the viewer, that they are able to take inside of themselves. They are parables to be found, modern designs that make people of these times think, urging them to take action"
~ David Cardoso, August 2006
